Deputy Ombudswomen Dijana Kesonja and Tatjana Vlašić, together with advisors from the Ombudswoman’s Anti-Discrimination Service, met on 14 May 2025 with representatives of civil society organisations that also serve as the institution’s anti-discrimination contact points. The Ombudswoman cooperates with these organisations as part of her mandate as the central body for combating discrimination in the Republic of Croatia.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Centre for Civic Initiatives Poreč, the Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights Osijek, the Centre for Peace Studies, the Legal Information Centre Slavonski Brod, Pariter, the Civil Rights Project Sisak, and the Serb National Council.

In the first part of the meeting, the Deputy Ombudswomen presented the 2024 Annual Report of the Ombudswoman, with a focus on the field of discrimination. This was followed by a discussion on the key challenges and recommendations from the Report, aimed at addressing existing problems and improving the effectiveness of anti-discrimination efforts in society.

In the second part of the meeting, participants presented their action plans for the upcoming period. Representatives of the contact points also provided updates on their priority areas of work, current activities, and projects. At the conclusion of the meeting, participants jointly identified key areas where capacity building is needed and proposed topics for the next meeting.
