As part of the event, SUH representatives also provided participants with updateson developments in the social welfare and pension insurance systems, lifelong support agreements, support until death agreements, the procedure for drafting a will, gift agreements, and the national benefit for older persons. All interested attendees were also able to receive answers to a range of specific questions.

The lecture was delivered as part of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration’s project “Legal sdvice for older persons – pushing boundaries”, aimed at helping older persons who struggle to navigate the legal system, and for whom access to information and free legal aid is key to realizing and protecting their rights.

More information about the rights of older persons is available in the Ombudswoman’s 2023 Annual Report.
