Ombudswoman Tena Šimonović Einwalter has been named Woman of the Year 2026 in the traditional annual selection organised by Zaposlena magazine.
The award honours women who are transforming Croatian society through their work, knowledge and courage. Alongside Ombudswoman Šimonović Einwalter, this year’s nominees were neurosurgeon Marina Raguž, Director of the Croatian Natural History Museum Tatjana Vlahović, and attorney Una Zečević Šeparović.
Each of them has made a significant impact through her professional achievements, dedication and social engagement, contributing to the creation of a fairer and better society, particularly when it comes to the protection, status and empowerment of women.
Zaposlena magazine has been organising the Woman of the Year award for more than three decades, recognising women whose professional work, integrity and engagement push boundaries and whose example inspires others.
