Meeting of the Ombudswoman’s Human Rights Council

On 1 October 2026, Ombudswoman Tena Šimonović Einwalter held a regular meeting with the members of her Human Rights Council, attended by Paulina Arbutina, Natalija Havelka, Marija Udiljak, Melisa Skender and Ana Horvat Vuković, as well as Deputy Ombudspersons Sedina Dubravčić, Dijana Kesonja, Saša Rajić and Tatjana Vlašić.

In addition to discussing the activities of the Office of the Ombudswoman and the Council members, the meeting also addressed the Ombudswoman’s Annual Report, the strategic positioning of the institution and the challenges it faces in its day-to-day work.

This was also the final meeting of the Council in its current composition, as the four-year terms of office of all its members, except Natalija Havelka, will soon expire.

The Ombudswoman’s Human Rights Council is an advisory body that considers and proposes strategic guidelines for the promotion of human rights and freedoms. It also ensures continuous cooperation on human rights and freedoms between the Ombudswoman, civil society, academia and the media, and considers other matters relevant to the Ombudswoman’s work in promoting human rights and freedoms.
