On 14 January 2025, Ombudswoman Tena Šimonović Einwalter hosted students from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, who are members of the branch of the Croatian Association of Women in the Legal Profession at the Faculty.

On this occasion, Ombudswoman Šimonović Einwalter presented the role and work of the institution, including its mandates, methods of operation, and procedures. The students were particularly interested in the main issues affecting citizens who turn to the Office, as well as in the process of preparing the Ombudswoman’s annual report, which provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of the state of human rights and equality in Croatia.

The discussion also addressed discrimination and inequality in society, challenges in the healthcare and prison systems, the right to public assembly, and the Ombudswoman’s cooperation with other institutions.

The Croatian Association of Women in the Legal Profession was established in 2015 with the aim of promoting, advancing, and affirming the status of women in the legal profession, including advocacy, the judiciary, the corporate sector, and the legal system in general. It also serves as a platform for unified engagement and discussion on key issues relevant to the legal profession and other matters of importance to women.
