{"id":1834,"date":"2017-10-26T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-10-26T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.ombudsman.hr\/?p=1834"},"modified":"2019-01-11T15:09:40","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T15:09:40","slug":"equinet-ovi-standardi-o-tijelima-za-jednakost-predstavljeni-clanicama-eu-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ombudsman.hr\/hr\/equinet-ovi-standardi-o-tijelima-za-jednakost-predstavljeni-clanicama-eu-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Standards for Equality bodies presented to Member State representatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Equinet network, and in particular its work on standards for equality bodies, was presented to Member State representatives this week, at the European Commission\u2019s High Level Group on Non-discrimination, Equality and Diversity.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Equinet was invited to the meeting of the European Commission\u2019s High Level Group on Non-discrimination, Equality and Diversity, which took place on 24 October 2017.\u00a0Tena \u0160imonovi\u0107 Einwalter, new Chair of Equinet and Deputy Ombudswoman of Croatia, accompanied by Executive Director\u00a0Anne Gaspard\u00a0and Head of Policy and Legal,\u00a0Tam\u00e1s K\u00e1d\u00e1r, presented the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.equineteurope.org\/-Standards-for-Equality-Bodies-\">Equinet Working Paper on Developing Standards for Equality Bodies<\/a>\u00a0to Member State representatives in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>In the current context of rising inequalities and discrimination, equality bodies aim to provide essential support to individuals, guidance for institutions, and an authoritative voice within society to advance equality and challenge discrimination.
