{"id":23763,"date":"2026-05-05T15:44:38","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T13:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ombudsman.hr\/en\/?p=23763"},"modified":"2026-05-05T15:44:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T13:44:38","slug":"deputy-ombudswoman-new-member-of-equinet-executive-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ombudsman.hr\/en\/deputy-ombudswoman-new-member-of-equinet-executive-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputy Ombudswoman new member of Equinet Executive Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Ombudswoman of the Republic of Croatia, Dijana Kesonja, has been elected as a member of the Executive Board of the European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet) for the 2025\u20132027 term.<\/p>\n<p>As an expert in combating discrimination and inequality, particularly in the fields of work and employment, whistleblower protection, and hate speech, Deputy Ombudswoman Kesonja will significantly contribute to the design, development, and implementation of strategic policies within the Network aimed at combating discrimination in Member States, providing support to victims, and strengthening advocacy for equality at the European level.<\/p>\n<p>As the managerial body of Equinet, which brings together more than 40 national equality bodies and institutions promoting equality from all EU Member States and beyond, the Executive Board consists of nine representatives from member organisations elected by the General Assembly for a two-year mandate.
