{"id":1628,"date":"2017-03-06T08:32:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-06T07:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.ombudsman.hr\/?p=1628"},"modified":"2019-01-14T11:14:04","modified_gmt":"2019-01-14T11:14:04","slug":"world-nhri-s-annual-meeting-in-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ombudsman.hr\/en\/world-nhri-s-annual-meeting-in-geneva\/","title":{"rendered":"World NHRI\u2019s annual meeting in Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ombudswoman Lora Vidovi\u0107 participates at the general meeting and annual conference of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) which takes place at the UN Geneva from 6th to 8th March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a gathering of representatives from four networks whereby the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) is represented by the Chair Lora Vidovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from exchanging experience and good practices the main themes of the meeting include business and human rights, collecting and analysing data relevant to the UN 2030 Agenda as well as conflict prevention and re-establishment of peaceful societies. Ombudswoman Vidovi\u0107 will moderate the panel on protecting and preserving the independence of national human rights institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra\u2019ad Al Hussein and UN Human Rights Council&#8217;s President \u00a0Joaqu\u00edn Alexander Maza Martelli take part at the event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was organised in cooperation with the Office of the UN High Commissioner (OHCHR); after which a two-day consultations between the UN committees and national human rights institutions are included.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-1589\" style=\"margin-right: 10px; float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/site.ombudsman.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/images_%C5%BDeneva.Lora_.ENNRHI.2017.jpg\" alt=\"\u017deneva.Lora.ENNRHI.2017\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ombudswoman Lora Vidovi\u0107 participates at the general meeting and annual conference of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) which takes place at the UN Geneva from 6th to 8th March.
